Exciting news! The Secret City Half Marathon & Relay of Oak Ridge, held on Nov 18, 2012, will donate a portion of its proceeds to the Child Advocacy Center of Anderson County! We are so pleased, as our association with the Oak Ridge Track Club for the past three years has helped us bring community awareness about child abuse, as well as raise needed funds. This year, we will not hold the 5K & 2Mile walk, however, we encourage everyone to participate in the half-marathon in some capacity. There is even a wonderful opportunity for the children (see “4 Kids” below)
There are so many ways to support the children with this event! Whether you are a participant, volunteer or just interested in making the lives of children safer and healthier, you can:
-
Sponsor the event!

“4 Kids”: The Secret City Half Marathon for Kids, is for children in first through sixth grade. Over the summer, the children will run a total of 13.1 miles, which they will document (with adult help). On November 18th, the children will then complete their last 1.1 mile!

Your support allows the Child Advocacy Center of Anderson County Tennessee to continue to provide services to children who are victims of childhood abuse or witnesses to other crimes. We can not do this important work without the help of our volunteers, donors, and supporters. As a 501 (c) 3 non-profit charitable organization, we need your help to ensure the children get the services they need to heal and recover from childhood abuse!
